Restrictions on travel from Indonesia to the UAE

11 July 2021, 10:40 PM

Dear Trade Partner,

In line with the latest directive issued by the UAE government, passenger travel from Indonesia to the UAE has been restricted, effective from 11:59pm on 11 July 2021, until further notice. This restriction applies only to point to point guests flying from Indonesia to the UAE.

This means that unless your customers are only transiting through the UAE, or they are eligible for an exemption below, they will not be able to travel from Indonesia.

This flight suspension does not apply to the below groups/exemptions:

  • UAE nationals and their first-degree relatives
  • Diplomatic missions
  • Official delegations and businessmen with prior approval
  • Golden and Silver residence holders
  • People in essential jobs as identified by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA)

If your customers are affected by this change, they should not travel to the airport as they will be unable to travel as planned.

Please monitor etihad.com/destinationguide for the latest information.
