As restrictions continue across many countries, we’re committed to connecting the world the best we can. Throughout September and October, we’ll continue to operate flights to more than 55 worldwide destinations.

Our network

Today, Saudi Arabia celebrate their 90th National Day. To mark the special occasion, I am pleased to announce that we will recommence flights between Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia from 1 October.

Operating to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, guests will be able to connect to and from Saudi Arabia to destinations worldwide.

Throughout the past few months, Dhaka in Bangladesh has been an important destination for our cargo network. From 7 October, we will operate passenger flights to Dhaka, operating twice weekly and connecting via Abu Dhabi to Europe and North America.

Arriving into Abu Dhabi 

On arrival into Abu Dhabi, all guests must self-isolate for 14 days. The health authorities will evaluate the most appropriate location for their 14-day quarantine; either at home, in a hotel or at accommodation provided by the authorities.

Guests will be required to wear a medically approved wristband for the duration of their quarantine. The wristband will be provided by the authorities at Abu Dhabi Airport after they clear immigration. Guests are exempt from having to wear the wristband if they:

·         Are under the age of 18 or over the age of 69

·         Suffer from a mental disability

·         Live in a nursing home or long-term care facility

·         Suffer from Chronic rheumatological conditions

·         Hold a diplomatic passport

All guests are required to repeat a COVID-19 PCR test on day 12 of quarantine. Subject to a negative test result, their wristband will be removed on day 14. Children under 12 are exempt from testing unless they show symptoms of Coronavirus.

Keeping up to date with destination requirements 

Travel regulations are changing daily around the world, and we ask that all guests check etihad.com/destinationguide to stay up to date with the latest guidelines before they travel. This will ensure that all guests are fit to fly when they arrive at the airport.

COVID-19 PCR testing is mandatory before travelling on any Etihad Airways flight. Tests can be carried out at any government accredited medical facility. Depending on where your guest is flying to or from, the test must be carried out between 48 and 96 hours ahead of their flight departure time.

There are also a number of country-specific regulations that guests need to be aware of, including the requirement of antibody testing and government quarantine. Simply enter the departure or arrival destination at etihad.com/destinationguide to find out more.

Contact information continues to be our hot topic

So that we can make sure that everyone is up to date with our latest travel regulations and flight schedules, it’s really important that we have the correct contact details for every guest. We still have too many bookings that do not include sufficient contact information, meaning that we can’t advise guests of important updates before their flight.
