Effective immediately, a penalty fee of AED150 will be charged for any bookings cancelled within 96 hours of travel. Applies to all tickets originating from the UAE issued on/after 1 October 2020.
The penalty fee will be charged in addition to any general change or cancellation fee and also applies in instances where we have reissued or refunded the ticket as per our commercial waiver policy.
As part of the fare rules of the ticket, Sabre will automatically pick up the charge when a ticket has been reissued or refunded through AER.
The penalty fee is mandatory.
Ticket issued on/before 30 September 2020
Fee not applicable
Ticket with travel originating from outside of the UAE
Guest is changing/cancelling the reservation as the ticketed flight has been cancelled or changed by Etihad Airways
Guest is changing/cancelling the reservation as he/she has tested positive for COVID-19
Guest is changing/cancelling the reservation as he/she cannot travel due to a travel restriction or travel ban
Guest is calling within 96 hours of departure time to change/cancel the reservation
Penalty fee applies
For bookings with travel date on/after 01 April 2021, this charge would not apply.
